Position Summary:
The Director of Public Relations oversees PR strategies across all mediums, developing and implementing international PR plans that build awareness and drive demand.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the line manager in developing the annual communication strategy and plan for properties in Macau, with a primary focus on PR.
- Work with the Group PR team to ensure consistent storytelling and support executive interview pitches and implementation.
- Pitch interview opportunities for property presidents and chefs per business requests.
- Build, manage, and support brand relationships with journalists, celebrities, and agents to secure high visibility.
- Lead the team and agencies to produce qualified press releases on time, ensuring positive PR exposure according to the aligned communication calendar.
- Generate positive PR exposure for various company campaigns.
- Lead the creation of management speeches, MC scripts, interview Q&As, and management briefing books.
- Lead the planning and implementation of PR events.
- Support internal communication by working closely with the line manager and the Group PR team.
- Support the line manager in enhancing relationships with local government officials, including but not limited to MGTO, ICM, etc.
- Collaborate with Social Media, Media, and Digital teams to enhance integrated communication and maximize impact.
- Take responsibility for the PR budget, including forecasting, planning, monitoring, and optimization to ensure spending efficiency.
- Demonstrate a commitment to building a PR talent pool through recruitment and coaching.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Quality of media relationships in key markets, including but not limited to Mainland China, Hong Kong S.A.R., Macau S.A.R., Taiwan China, Korea, and Thailand.
- Achieving annual PR clippings targets, especially regarding penetration in tier 1 and 2 media.
- Successful interview pitches for property presidents and effective support for executive interview pitches.
- Effective planning, implementation, and delivery on media cooperation for various campaigns.
Qualifications:
Experience: Successful candidates will have 10-15 years of relevant work experience in Public Relations, preferably within the luxury retail, automotive, travel, entertainment, or hospitality industries. Candidates must be able to demonstrate success in proactively responding to a dynamic market.
Education: A bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field.
Skills & Competencies:
- Must speak and write fluent English.
- Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus.
- A well-developed and mature presentation style.
- Strong negotiating and confrontation skills.
- Excellent leadership capabilities and charisma to influence, inspire, and motivate key stakeholders and employees.
- Exceptional intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance.
- Previous experience working in Asian markets is a plus.
