About the Team
This role reports directly to the Marketing Director and involves managing one direct report (a dedicated specialist). The team is focused on translating global brand narratives into locally impactful digital strategies. You will be expected to be highly collaborative, working closely with E-commerce, Sales, and Product teams to ensure digital efforts are fully integrated and directly contribute to business growth.
About the Job
As the Senior Social & Digital Marketing Manager, you will be the owner of the brand's digital presence and community engagement strategy for its most prestigious product category in the China market. Your core mission is to build a seamless consumer journey, driving engagement, community loyalty, and sales conversion across the key digital touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Digital Strategy & Roadmap:
- Develop the annual social and digital marketing strategy specifically for the core sports and performance category, ensuring alignment with global direction and deep local market insights.
- Define the omnichannel role for key local platforms (e.g., Little Red Book/Xiaohongshu, Douyin, WeChat, Tmall) to build consumer journeys from brand awareness to ultimate purchase.
- Social Content & Community Leadership:
- Oversee the creation and production of high-quality, authentic content that resonates with both core sports enthusiasts and Gen-Z lifestyle consumers.
- Monitor social trends and platform mechanics (especially short-video and interest-based content) to maintain trend agility and drive viral amplification.
- Maximize the digital impact of sponsored athletes and KOLs; build and nurture strong, authentic relationships within key vertical communities.
- Performance Media & Optimization:
- Manage the digital media budget and oversee agency performance for paid social and performance marketing, with a strong focus on maximizing ROI/ROAS.
- Utilize advanced data analytics to track campaign effectiveness and optimize media buy allocation across various platforms for cost efficiency.
Skills and Experience Required
- Total Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in social marketing and digital media.
- Industry Preference (Highly Desirable): Experience in the Fashion, Luxury, or Beauty industries is highly preferred, demonstrating an ability to manage premium brand positioning and aesthetics.
- Platform Expertise (Mandatory): Deep, hands-on understanding of China's digital ecosystem is a must. Proven experience with strategy and execution on key local platforms, including Little Red Book/Xiaohongshu and Douyin, is required.
- Experience gained directly from a platform-side role (e.g., at Xiaohongshu or Douyin) is a strong advantage.
- Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree or above.
- Proven experience in managing agency relationships and media budgets.
- Ability to craft high-level strategies while remaining hands-on with content creation and execution.
- Language: Fluent in Mandarin and Business English (written and spoken) is mandatory for communication with the global HQ team.
- Interest: A strong interest in sports, particularly racquet or competitive sports, is a significant plus.
